  • PSMP (Positive Self Management Programme) is a course designed to help those living with or affected by HIV. Learning new skills helps people manage long term health conditions more effectively. This course is run by Herts Aid. Contact us here for more details.

  • Benefit, debt, immigration, employment and consumer advice is available from Herts Aid’s Citizens Advice Bureau(CAB) Outreach service which runs from the Ware and Watford offices. Contact the HIV team who will arrange an appointment.

  • View the Citizens Advice Bureau’s public website where they offer information across a wide range of topics. See how the service can be of help.

  • For mental health issues including anger management courses: Contact Herts Mind Network or call for information on 0203 727 3600.

  • Visit The Food Chain, an organisation that provides information about the benefits of a healthy diet if you are living with HIV.

  • Visit The NHS A to Z index. It provides a lot of useful information on many health conditions.

  • CRI Spectrum provides advice regarding drug and alcohol counselling or treatment centres in Hertfordshire

  • If you are in debt and require free impartial advice CAP (Christians Against Poverty) will try and help anyone. CAP offers a free debt help service and money management courses.

  • Concerned about your sexual health or Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STIs)? Find your local Sexual Health Clinic here

  • Unsure or concerned whether you are being abused? Visit the site of Hertfordshire Sunflower Centre to help you define what Domestic Abuse is and for further information and help.

  • Learn new skills with Learn Direct, who offer training courses at locations nationwide. Courses are broken down into bite-sized chunks, so you can learn at your own pace. These courses are free for those on JSA or ESA.

  • Looking for ways to keep active, independent at home or find some company? Visit HertsHelp for more information or call 0300 123 4044.

    They can find practical help, advice or information from over 200 local groups and organisations to suit your needs.

  • The Counselling Directory appreciate how important it is to find the perfect counsellor. Knowing where and what to look for in a qualified practitioner and initiating contact can be daunting.
