The second Herts Pride was held on 30th August in Cassiobury Park, Watford.
It was a massive success and a fantastic day for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans (LGBT) community of Hertfordshire and their friends.
In the Health and Wellbeing Marquee Herts Aid worked alongside staff from Watford Sexual Health clinic providing support and advice around sexual health, sexual orientation, and HIV testing. 65 tests were completed during the course of the day, with 100% -ve diagnosis.
Amongst others in attendance were the Chlamydia Screening Team, The Sexual Assault Referral Service (SARC), Herts Mind Network, Herts Sunflower Domestic Violence, Health Watch and Stop Smoking.
Herts Pride provided a Community Stage for local bands and acts to perform, and the Cabaret Marquee contained a bar, with live music and entertainment which lasted late into the evening.
In addition Herts Pride was supported by various organisations such as Hertfordshire County Council, Hertfordshire Fire Service, Three Rivers District Council, Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, and Watford Community Housing Trust alongside many other organisations that sought to promote the LGBT agenda.
Herts Aid are very grateful to all the staff and volunteers that came along to help. Your support is very much appreciated.
